The Centre was established in the year 1980 by taking 77 Canals of land on lease from the Bhakra Beas Management Board where a 100 bedded hostel, a guest house, an administrative block and a boat shed have been constructed. The Centre conducts variety of water sports courses throughout the year. The Centre is run/headed by Senior Water Sports Instructor.
